The Legend of Honey’s Kettle Fried Chicken
They say kettle-cooking started in the Colonial days when our ancestors prepared their meals in the family fireplace. Heavy metal kettles hung from iron racks over burning wood and dancing flames-flames that tenderized wild game and braised delicious stews.
Kettle-cooking may have originated with the early settlers in the East, but it was the South that made this process popular with fried chicken and gave it worldwide notoriety.
Well, at Honey’s Kettle-Fried Chicken we have rediscovered the lost art of kettle-cooking and now you can, too! Dressed in a distinctively western flair, our kettle-fried process has been perfected over many, many years of testing. Gone are the old, black kettles of the past. In their places, are deep kettle drums made of heavy gauge stainless steel that allow intense fire to tenderize chicken and seal in natural juices. Our specially formulated batter withstands high temperatures, and creates a marvelous, crackling, crisp, non-greasy chicken, bursting with flavor.
We take extreme pride that our kettles are cooking up yet another fantastic American product. And we guarantee that Honey’s original recipe family of products will always meet our rigorous test for freshness, high quality and superiority… from our flat-iron grilled products, freshly made cole slaw to our buttermilk biscuits, fish and poultry.
