Our Cooking Process… Honey’s Kettle has perfected a proprietary, high temperature cooking process for our fresh, hand-dipped fried chicken cooked in 100% peanut oil that produces a nutritionally superior and better tasting product.
We’ve spent 40 years rediscovering, modernizing and perfecting the kettle fried cooking process that first originated in the Colonial days, when family meals were cooked in heavy metal kettles over the fireplace. It was later in the South that fried chicken was made famous. Gone are the old, black cooking kettles of the past. In their place, Honey’s Kettle uses deep kettle drums made of heavy gauge stainless steel that allow intense fire to tenderize chicken and seal in natural juices and nutrition while leaving the oil in the kettle. Call us food scientists! We’ve developed a clean cooking process to eliminate grease and capture vital nutrients through flash cooking and heavy pressure, leaving plenty of vitamins and minerals the natural way.
